Geospatial Solutions Developer

IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.

Our client is seeking a Geospatial Solutions Developer. Responsibilities for this position include planning, constructing, implementing and documenting Geographic Information System (GIS) related tools and data components utilizing computer development programs (Software Engineer). The Geospatial Solutions Developer will have ample technical capabilities and will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

TasksExercising a moderate level of independent judgmentUnderstands the concepts and methods inherent to the geospatial technology discipline in relation to automated tool building and integration with other technology and scientific disciplines. Applies knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems. Evaluates user requests for new or modified programming. Consults with users to identify current and future business objectives. Captures requirements using industry and enterprise standard geographic information system development frameworks and tools. Converts project specifications, using industry standard tools, such as object-oriented tools and code generation, into sequences of detailed instructions and logical steps for coding into language processable by computer systems

Skills Required:5-8 years - Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Pro SDK.5-8 years - Experience with ArcObjects, ArcGIS, ArcGIS Arcpy, ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabase (Oracle). 5-8 years – Experience with C#.5-8 years - Experience with Javascript API, Spring Boot, .NET.4-5 years - Experience with ArcGIS Desktop development using .NET.4-5 years - Experience creating, editing, and maintaining spatial data layers.4-5 years - Experience with Geoprocessing tool - Python scripting.4-5 years - Experience with data structures and algorithms for tracing, topology, spatial operation.3-5 years - Experience designing/architecting GIS web mapping applications that allow users to create and edit multiple feature classes (point, line, and polygon) using ArcServer. (GIS Web Arc Server) 4-5 years - Experience designing/architecting GIS web applications. (GIS Web Mapping & Web services)4-5 years -Experience with design and implementation.3-5 years - Experience with Oracle 19c.3-5 years - Experience designing, analyzing, and working with Arc Spatial Database Engine (SDE).3-5 years - Experience integrating tabular data systems with spatial data and tools (GIS). 4-5 years - Experience with .Net (MS).2-5 years - Experience with Java.2-5 years - Experience using Java Spring, Struts and Hibernate Framework.2-5 years - Experience with documenting requirements and design.2-5 years – Experience with requirements analysis.

Skills Desired – A plus to have:Web App development experience with Java
