Sr. Moodle Developer

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior .NET/Moodle Developer with a strong background in both PHP and .NET technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and enhancing Moodle-based learning management systems (LMS) as well as working on complex .NET applications. This role requires a deep understanding of web technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:Moodle Development:Develop, customize, and maintain Moodle-based LMS platforms.Integrate Moodle with third-party applications and external systems.Create and modify Moodle plugins, modules, and themes to meet specific client requirements.Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of Moodle systems.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Moodle applications..NET Development:Design, develop, and maintain complex .NET applications.Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.Develop RESTful APIs and web services for seamless communication between systems.Perform code reviews, debugging, and optimization to ensure high-quality deliverables.Implement and maintain data storage solutions using SQL Server or other databases.PHP Development:Work on the backend development using PHP to support Moodle and other web applications.Maintain and enhance existing PHP-based applications and frameworks.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Collaboration and Leadership:Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.Work closely with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time.Participate in requirement gathering, technical design discussions, and code reviews.Quality Assurance:Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.Conduct unit testing and support QA teams during the testing phase.Documentation:Create and maintain technical documentation related to code, APIs, and systems architecture.Provide end-user documentation and training materials as needed.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.5+ years of experience in web development, with a focus on .NET and PHP technologies.Strong expertise in Moodle development, including plugin and theme customization.Proficiency in .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, and MVC architecture.Solid understanding of PHP, including experience with PHP frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter.Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or other relational databases.Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery).Experience with version control systems such as Git.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
