Position Summary:
As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer at <(Firm>, you will be working in a high-energy team, using the best engineering practices in the industry today (e.g., unit testing, source control, continuous integration, automation, design patterns). Passion for all aspects of software development is critical. We are building teams that are empowered to solve the business needs by having a rapid development and deployment pipeline with a focus on automation and releasing software. You will support and receive direction and guidance from the BI Architect and you will provide guidance and direction to BI Developers.
Duties and Responsibilities
BI Analysis
Drive business decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights and trends to decision makersCollect, aggregate and analyze data from multiple internal and external sourcesProduce actionable reports that show key performance indicatorsProvide analytics and reporting solutions using metrics across multiple business areas
BI Design and Development
Apply standards and best practices for implementing <(Firm> BI tools in support of the EIM vision and reference architectureAssist with EIM project definition and planningConduct data analysis in support of analytic solutionsCreate ad hoc reporting solutions and dashboardsCapture, develop and document data definitionsEnsure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing data quality audits and analysisImplement package deployments and troubleshoot package issuesModify, install and prepare technical documentation for BI applicationsCreate and maintain BI documentation for every System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) phaseParticipate in creating long term BI application support model.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements
Excellent analytical skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills including active listening. Asking appropriate questions, clarifying information and writing clear, concise documents.Must have experience with DAX, Power BI dashboardsDesigning/Building tabular models using latest version of SSASModeling experienceAdministration experience using Power BISQL Server latest version
Preferred knowledge:
10+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technologyMicrosoft Certified Business Intelligence in the above required skillsExperience with Microsoft SSISSSRS reportingExperience with relational databases: Sybase ASE, Oracle, MySQL and others a plusExperience with analytic platforms (data mining, predictive modeling) a plus
