Project description:In this project, our customer is optimising the group-wide monitoring platform based on Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security and Splunk IT Service Intelligence.The project goal is to increase the operational stability of the platform and to adapt the platform to the constantly growing demand through the use of automation.

Tasks:The external consultant is responsible for the following tasks within the scope of the project, which are carried out independently:Analysing the configuration and errors of the existing platform on a daily basisAnalysing and adapting the results of the Splunk Health CheckImplementation of platform improvements based on a prioritised backlogAdvising the project team on further optimisation and automation potentialAnalysing technical requirements for connecting various source systems (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and technologies (JMX, JDBC, Syslog, Logs, ...)Implementation of Splunk Enterprise configurations, as well as parsing and processing of the imported dataImplementation of pre-processing and routing logic in Cribl LogstreamImplementation of alerts and dashboards to analyse and check the data quality of connected sourcesCarrying out analyses and checks on the data quality of connected sourcesAdvising the project team on the planning and implementation of their monitoring solutions, e.g. with regard to KPIsDesign and implementation of complex monitoring solutions (dashboards, alerts) using SPL, data models, etc. to monitor the platform
