Description

SAIC is seeking a Azure Cloud Software Developer and Engineer to join the Cloud One Operations and Sustainment Team to work in Impact Level 2/4/5. This candidate will be part of a team responsible for the architecture design/planning, automation, management, support, and oversight of the Cloud One Azure environments. The Azure Cloud Software Developer and Engineer will be supporting the Cloud One Common Computing Environment (CCE) program under the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Office for Network Integration (AFLCMC/HNI). Cloud One is an existing global, interconnected, virtualized, hybrid, and IT infrastructure hosting mission systems, applications, services, and data that will serve the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and U.S. Army (USA). Cloud One incorporates the capabilities of commercial cloud and Managed Service Providers (MSP) residing in Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). Cloud One facilitates the USAF and USA’s efforts to migrate applications to a cloud environment, allowing the closure of data centers to support the Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) and allowing for increased efficiencies across the entire spectrum of the USAF and USA's IT operations.

This position is 100% remote.

Job Responsibilities

Design, sustain, maintain, Azure environments and topologies, all aspectsProactively identify and resolve operational, tooling and process inefficienciesMaintain regular contact with customers during support and projectsProvide technical assistance and training to usersPerform routine operations including troubleshooting and resolving Tier 3 help desk tickets, performance monitoring, server monitoring, and log monitoringDeploy software packages to the Cloud One Integration, Test and Production environments. This also include supporting regression and other testing for the Cloud Common ServicesAddress security findings and vulnerabilities by developing, testing and deploying configuration changes. Provide integration support to developers. Perform activities for patch releases including configuration changes, required documentation and approvals. Develop code in Ansible, Terraform and Powershell for infrastructure automation and orchestration to support deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of the Cloud Common Services. Develop and test configurations to address performance issues and to reduce operational costs.Develop and update Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision and support Cloud One Infrastructure.Create and update documentation related to the maintenance and support of the Cloud Common Services

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and zero (0) years of experience.Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Clearance And Certification

Interim Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain a Secret clearance required to maintain employment. Candidates may begin work with an Interim Secret ClearanceUS citizenship requiredSecurity + or higher certification

Required Skills

Knowledge of deployments for Azure cloud systemsExperience/Knowledge of DevOpsInfrastructure as codeAgile, Scrum, SAFe or other modern software development methods/practicesTask Automation Virtualization through containerization using Docker or KubernetesExperience with Terraform, Powershell, and/or Ansible (python, C#)

Target salary range $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
