Looker Developer

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented Looker Developer to join our data and analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Looker dashboards and reports that transform complex data into actionable insights. You will collaborate closely with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure that our data visualization and reporting solutions meet the needs of the organization. The ideal candidate has a strong background in LookML, SQL, and data modeling, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for solving data challenges.

Qualifications:6+ years of experience as a Looker Developer.Knowledge of Google BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform.Proficiency in LookML and SQL, with a strong understanding of data modeling and database design.Experience working with large datasets and complex data environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach.Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.Knowledge of data governance and best practices in business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and optimize Looker dashboards and reports to meet business objectives and provide actionable insights.Develop and maintain LookML models, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and aligned with best practices.Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless integration of data sources into Looker.Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support data extraction and transformation.Work with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reports and dashboards.Provide training and support to end-users on Looker to maximize the platform's value.Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to Looker performance and data quality.
