About the roleWe are looking for a very hands-on Senior to Lead Enterprise Engineer (w/ DevOps experience). This role is EXTREMELY critical to developing software tools in support of design infrastructure and technology platforms, including, but not limited to, operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and cloud-based and Internet-related tools. THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT ROLE with incredible opportunities!
You will not only mentor, lead, and be the “right hand” (and sometimes left), you will also build and integrate our next generation of enterprise cloud services. Working within our Engineering team and collaborating closely with our Customers, Design, and Domain Architects, CloudOperations, Security, Compliance, and other key stakeholders. You will be responsible for driving key projects and initiatives throughout our shared services division.The focus is on the CLOUD (Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services), as we are in very transformational stages, specifically on automating IT Operations tasks using Cloud software development kits (SDKs), configuration management tools (like Ansible), and infrastructureorchestration tools (such as Terraform). Besides that, the Engineering team you will be part of is also engaged in initiatives to transform the IT Operations Services suite to be scalable and API-capable.Ask yourself – Is this what I have done? Responsibilities- Write code, engineer CI/CD pipelines, and champion the adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) across divisions, departments, teams, and applications- Envision and execute on an enterprise-scale cloud operations discipline using serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda & Azure Functions- Modernize legacy scripts & siloed code to Representational state transfer APIs (RESTful APIs)- Craft a culture of execution excellence coupled with innovation by incorporating best of the breed toolset- Lead charge of developing and delivering operational services to our partner teams by using Ansible, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps to help meet operational, security, audit, and compliance requirements- Partner closely with Architecture and Engineering, Cloud Operations, and Security teams to ensure the operationalization and adoption of engineering work- Guide fellow engineers by clarifying requirements, providing technical insights, and removing roadblocks- Report to stakeholders and leadership teams on the progress of key initiatives regularlythe experiences you have that we will be very excited about!- A proven track record of writing scalable production-grade code leveraging Cloud software development kits (SDKs) and Cloud APIs in (at least) one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, Node.js, or Ruby- Experience with automated deployments utilizing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools (such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or other well-known tools)- Experience with release management, product rollouts, and service operationalization - Solid understanding of core AWS & Azure Services, working knowledge of CLIs, and cloud software development kit (SDKs)- Enthusiasm for staying abreast of industry trends and a keen eye for product improvements- And above all, a positive and “let me see how we can fix this” attitude Must-have skills- Engineering experience re-platforming enterprise applications to be cloud-native- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM)/Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework and enterprise IT change management processes- Experience developing APIs- Experience working in an agile environment- Comfortable partaking in the development of enterprise engineeringand architectural standards- Experience with a configuration management tool like Chef, Puppet, SaltStack or Ansible
