Description
Datawiz is recruiting for an Oracle Developer with strong SQL development skills. This role will be remote, core hours 9AM to 3PM Eastern Time.
Seeking experience designing, developing, testing, maintaining, tuning, documenting, and deploying SQL code units. The ideal candidate should have excellent SQL authoring skills and equally comfortable authoring DML (including features such as analytic functions, subquery factoring clauses, and merge statements), DDL (authoring schema change scripts), and high performance select queries.
Primary Responsibilities Include
Implement shared components and frameworks using PL/SQL in a Linux/Solaris based environment.Develop new batch processes for data migration and transformation.Should have very good communication skills/interpersonal skills.Should have exposure to Unix and shell scripting.Exposure to debugging and troubleshooting is an added advantage.Working knowledge of Quest SQL Navigator or Toad.Confirms design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementation.May perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers / analyst working on a specific project.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience with Oracle PL/SQLRelevant Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent amount of experience.Oracle database experience requiredExperience with full software development life cycle activities (Analysis, Design, Coding, Unit Test)Excellent skills with SQL (advance queries, tuning)Highly proficient in RDBMS concepts and Oracle SQLStrong understanding of relational databases (including tables, views, indexes, table spaces)

Physical Requirements/Essential Functions:Must be able to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Capability to work on a computer for the majority of the workday.All applicants must be United States Citizens. This position supports a federal government agency that requires a Background Investigation. The candidate must be able to clear a Public Trust clearance as well in order to commence work. That requires living in the United States continuously for the past three years.
