Senior PHP Developer (Remote, strong in Laravel)

The ideal candidate will efficiently and quickly write PHP in a timely and scalable way in order to improve the code-base of the company's products in meaningful ways. This candidate will be able to test the code and make adjustments where necessary. They should also be experience in contributing to the whole software design lifecycle. ResponsibilitiesSolve technical problems by working closely with Agile scrum masters, UX, product managers, and remote teams.Review and correct code for quality and designManage the delicate balance between implementation complexity, time to market, and scalability and resiliency.Design high-performance database schema and code architecture.Empower remote teams to deliver stable, high-performing, and reliable code. This requires regular interactions with remote teams in the mornings.Contribute significantly to sprints, meet sprint deadlines, help other team members with their sprint commitments and take the lead on urgent tasks.

QualificationsGood spoken English skillsBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)Knowledge about different architects and system designStrong knowledge and understanding of PHP, Laravel, MySQL, JavaScript, Git, Jira, API development, and Amazon web services. (from 5 years of experience)Working knowledge of database and code architecture best practices.
