You will help drive our insurance business transformation as we redefine experience for our customers. Position DescriptionOur Senior Engineer is a mid-level member of the Voice engineering staff ensuring we provide a friction-less experience to our customers and maintain the highest standards of security and availability. Our team thrives and succeeds in delivering high-quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between. Responsibilities• Provides technical leadership within a team's functional area• Consistently writes production-ready code or configuration with defined standards of readability, maintainability, reliability and testability, and accounts for edge cases and errors. Also, helps other engineers to produce the same.• Specifies the design and implementation of software modules based upon system requirements and architectural guidance• Makes significant contributions to design, code, architectural, security, observability and performance review activities• Translates business needs into technical requirements• Participates in the formulation of non-functional requirements• Understands and implements secure design practices Qualifications• Experience with Amazon Connect including Contact Flows, Security Profiles, Routing Profiles, Queues, Quick Connects• Experience with Amazon Web Services including Lambda, Lex, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions, CloudWatch• Advanced experience using multiple programming languages including Node.js, Python, C#• Experience implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform• Experience integrating with internal and external applications • Demonstrated deep understanding and ability to complete DevOps tasks• Proficient in complex debugging and root cause analysis• Expert in building test suite and frameworks to automate end to end testing• Demonstrated expertise in software, data, and system design and the appropriate use of patterns and idioms• Contributed to improvements in organizational metrics such as DORA metrics that measure improvements in team velocity and stability of service delivery• Experience and understanding of Security Protocols and Products such as Active Directory, SAML, IAM• Communicates effectively, clearly, concisely and in an audience-oriented way, in written and verbal form, on both technical and non-technical subjects.
