Java Developer (W2 Only)

Job Summary:Our client is seeking a highly skilled Developer III to join our team. This role requires a developer with strong Java/J2EE expertise to build robust and efficient applications. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Java design patterns, be adept at developing data service layers with JPA, and have excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities.

Responsibilities:Requirements Understanding: Interpret and implement project requirements as directed, ensuring minimal dependency on other team members or leads.Application Development: Develop well-designed Java EE applications that are reusable, maintainable, and easy to understand, focusing on efficient and effective coding practices.Design Patterns: Apply excellent knowledge of Java design patterns in the implementation of applications.Documentation: Write comprehensive Javadoc for every method and class, providing proper and detailed explanations.Data Service Layer Development: Hands-on experience in developing data service layers using JPA.Task Management: Complete day-to-day tasks on time and deliver as promised, adhering to project deadlines.SQL Skills: Write SQL queries, Data Definition Language (DDL), and Data Manipulation Language (DML).Testing and Debugging: Experience in writing JUnit tests, with strong skills in technical troubleshooting and performance tuning.Continuous Learning: Display a strong aptitude to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of an organization, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.5-8 years of hands-on experience in Java/JEE, including technologies like Spring Batch and Spring Boot, with a strong understanding of time-critical projects with strict deadlines.In-depth knowledge of Java design patterns and their implementation.5-8 years of experience in developing User Interface pages using PrimeFaces and developing data service layers with JPA.Proven experience in writing JUnit tests, writing SQL queries, and creating views and stored procedures as needed.5-8 years of experience with Core Java/J2EE backend development.

Desired Skills:Ability to understand requirements and implement them with minimal or no dependency on others.Experience working in State and/or Public Sector domains.Familiarity with Azure DevOps is a plus.
