PowerBI Developer

Primary ResponsibilitiesWork with the head of Enterprise Data and Analytics and key 3rd party vendors to implement and maintain PowerBI reports/dashboards.Engage with customers to understand requirements, develop options, and create plan/solution for resolving through changes to data ingestion, transformation, and presentation.Maintain dashboards and reports to stay current with changes in the underlying dataDefine and lead projects as needed to address larger changes; oversee the work of 3rd party and/or more junior contributors as needed.This is a technical role requiring an in-depth understanding of how to design, build, BI reports in Power BI, use Power Automate, data flows and a strong understanding of relational database structures, along with Azure cloud knowledge.Background, Competencies and Skills RequiredBachelor's Degree in Information Sciences, Computer Science, Business Administration or Management (or foreign equivalent). Will consider significant hands-on experience as a substitute.Ability to communicate and work effectively with others and utilizing persuasion and teamwork relationshipsAdaptability and ability to respond quickly to changes in direction and new opportunitiesMinimum of 5 years of experience working with reporting systems with at least 3 years in PowerBI with focus on:Power BI DesktopPower PlatformDAX language (mastery level, experienced in complex DAX expressions)Experience managing data in Azure – ideally leveraging Azure Data Factory and Azure SynapseDeep experience with key data management constructs:Data WarehousingData ModelingData LakeLakehouseNice to have – Experience with ERP and other common host systemsNice to have – Python Language experienceNice to have – Experience in an agile/scrum environment
