Front-end Developer React Native & WebOpportunity to work with a Mission-driven team on a cool mobile and web travel app. The ideal candidate is passionate about enhancing community engagement through technology, thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with Vibemap’s partners, including Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs), Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), and other community-focused organizations across the country, guiding them through the strategic processes of planning, launching, managing, and maximizing the use of Vibemap's platform.

We have a React Website and React Native app for iOS and Android, and provide rich experiences that integrate directly with our partner websites and apps. You’’ be working on this stack, as well as collaborating with our platform team on APIs and Wordpress CMS that interface with our app.

Collaborate with our product management and design team on new features for our digital passports, challenges, and scavenger hunts. Improve overall UX/UI and performance of the app. Help us launch awesome new experiences in new cities around the world. Experienced front end or full stack software engineeringStrong understanding of React and React Native and the core principles/rules or ReactStrong understanding of Javascript and ES6 and modulesStrong understanding of best practices, workflows, and troubleshooting web and mobile appsSkilled at making architectural decisions for business logic in mobile and web apps, including the retrieval and storage of dataActive thought partner contributing to product and experience design by staying current with the rapidly evolving digital worldExperience with data-intensive applications that scaleExperience delivering fast, performant UI/UX with clean codeExperience with responsive and adaptive webEstimate and deliver on product features and requirements in a timely manner.Experience with mobile development environments, such as iOS with Swift/Objective-C, or Android Development with Java/Kotlin, or even web development
