Job Overview:We are looking for an experienced AS400/iSeries Developer with specialized knowledge in life insurance systems like Life400, LifeAsia, or similar CSC/DXC platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing insurance applications while contributing to integration projects and providing technical support.
Key Responsibilities:Application Development & Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the AS400/iSeries platform, focusing on life insurance systems such as Life400, LifeAsia, or similar CSC/DXC systems.Integration Projects: Lead integration efforts for Life400, LifeAsia, or other insurance-related systems. Implement enhancements, bug fixes, and system optimizations to improve functionality and efficiency.Technical Design & Documentation: Work with business analysts and project managers to translate business requirements into detailed technical designs. Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed solutions.System Analysis & Troubleshooting: Perform system analysis to diagnose and resolve performance issues, data inconsistencies, and other system-related challenges.Collaboration & Support: Collaborate closely with QA, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.User Training & Support: Provide technical support and training to end-users, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving user issues.
Required Skills:AS400/iSeries Expertise: Strong proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, CLLE, SQL, and DB2 on the AS400 platform.CSC/DXC Systems Experience: Hands-on experience with life insurance systems such as Life400, LifeAsia, or similar CSC/DXC platforms, including system integration and enhancements.Insurance Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the insurance industry, particularly life insurance, with experience in policy administration systems.Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of resolving complex technical issues.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:CSC/DXC Certifications: Certifications in Life400, LifeAsia, or other CSC/DXC systems are highly desirable.Project Management: Experience managing or leading small to medium-sized development projects.Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and practices.
