Role OverviewWe're seeking a creative and skilled Frontend Developer Intern with a passion for building user-friendly web applications. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our sustainability platform by developing intuitive and responsive user interfaces. As a key member of our development team, you'll work on projects that directly enhance the user experience, making sustainability insights more accessible and actionable for our users.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain responsive and dynamic web applications using React.jsCollaborate with UI/UX designers to implement attractive and user-friendly interfacesOptimize web applications for maximum speed and scalabilityEnsure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designsIntegrate APIs and third-party services to enhance functionalityWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented codeTroubleshoot and debug issues to improve the performance of the platformCollaborate with backend developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logicStay updated with the latest trends and best practices in frontend development

QualificationsRecently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldStrong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptExperience with React.js and related technologies (Redux, React Router)Familiarity with version control systems like GitUnderstanding of RESTful APIs and how to connect frontend to backend servicesAbility to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote settingExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environmentPassion for sustainability and interest in contributing to environmental solutions through technology

Preferred SkillsExperience with frontend build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, NPM, Yarn)Familiarity with CSS pre-processors (e.g., SASS, LESS)Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first developmentKnowledge of accessibility standards and best practicesExperience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)Familiarity with design tools like Figma or Adobe XDUnderstanding of agile development methodologies
