Senior Front-End Developer (React with TypeScript)

About Us:CarersHQ is an AgeTech SaaS startup. Our mission is to provide exceptional elderly at-home care that helps people stay happy, healthy and independent throughout later life.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Front-End developer with expertise in React and TypeScript on a project (contract) basis. The successful candidate will be in a driving seat role for all things Front-End and will be working closely with the co-founders of the startup. This is a fully remote position. We are looking for a collaborator who can deliver the first building block and whom we can also call on in the near future for further expansion of the website with new functionalities. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating systems and modifying existing modules on our website, as well as developing new functionalities to improve the overall user experience of our web applications. We are looking for a mid-level or senior developer for this role, with at least 4 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:Integrate a chat system into our existing web and mobile platforms.Implement a third-party payment gateway (to be determined among Stripe Connect and GoCardless) to handle transactions.Develop new modules to enhance the functionality of our applications.Modify existing features based on user feedback and requirements.Collaborate with backend developers for API integration.Work closely with our design team to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Required Technical Skills:Proficiency in React.js and TypeScript.Experience with Docker and docker-composeFamiliarity with RESTful API integration.Proficiency in version control using Git (specifically GitHub).Understanding of modern front-end development tools and pipelines.Proven experience in integrating third-party services, such as chat systems and payment gateways.Fluency in English

Nice to Have:Experience in developing mobile applications using React Native.Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment processes, particularly with GitHub Actions.
