Founding Engineer / Senior Full Stack Developer (Web & AI Integration)

Join Laria.ai by Paia Intelligence, a Berlin-based SaaS platform revolutionizing ad creation with UGC-style vertical ads. As our first engineering hire, you will be at the forefront of building our AI-driven platform. Working closely with the two founders, you’ll have the unique opportunity to design, develop, and deploy our product from the ground up. Key Responsibilities:

Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of our SaaS platform.Architectural Leadership: Collaborate with the founders to define and implement the overall system architecture, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.Product Development: Work closely with the founders to turn our product vision into reality, from ideation to launch and beyond.Ownership: Take complete ownership of the technology stack, making key decisions on technology choices, development practices, and deployment strategies.MVP Development: Lead the development of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and iterate based on user feedback.Scalability: Ensure that the platform is built to scale as we grow, with a focus on performance and reliability.Mentorship: As the team grows, you will have the opportunity to lead and mentor future hires, establishing the engineering culture from the ground up.

Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong track record of delivering successful web applications. Previous startup experience is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

Frontend: Expertise in modern front-end frameworks such as Next.js (or at least React).Backend: Proficiency in server-side languages such as Node.js, Python, or Ruby. Experience with frameworks like Express, Django, or Rails.Database Management: Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.APIs: Solid experience in designing and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.Testing: Proficient in unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development (TDD).Startup Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity and excited about building something from scratch. Willingness to wear multiple hats and adapt to the needs of a rapidly growing startup.AI/ML Integration: Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and experience working on applications that integrate with AI-driven services is a plus.
