NodeJS & DevOps Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with a strong background in Node.js and DevOps practices within AWS. This role will focus on enhancing our core monitoring service, integrating automated analysis steps into our pipeline, and leveraging AWS to automate and scale processes for our global clientele. The ideal candidate will take ownership of a crucial backend component and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for DevOps, ensuring that our organization adheres to stable, mature, and ISO27001-compliant processes.
Responsibilities Improve and optimize our core monitoring service to increase performance, reliability, and scalability. Implement and refine automated analysis steps within our pipeline to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Utilize AWS services and tools to automate workflows and scale processes effectively. Work with AWS CDK, CodePipeline, and IAM to manage infrastructure as code and automate deployments. Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems using Node.js. Ensure that systems are robust, performant, and secure. Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for DevOps, guiding best practices for deployment, infrastructure management, and compliance with ISO27001 standards. Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Advocate for and implement continuous improvement practices within the development and deployment pipelines.
Requirements Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with a strong focus on Node.js and DevOps in AWS. Extensive experience with AWS services including CDK, CodePipeline, IAM, and other related tools. Proficient in backend development using Node.js, with a solid understanding of database systems and APIs. Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code. Knowledge of ISO27001 and experience working in environments with stringent security and compliance requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certifications. Experience with Amazon Code Catalyst. Experience with other backend technologies or cloud platforms is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
