Overview:
As the company continues to grow, we're looking for a talented Front-End UI/UX Developer intern to help build and enhance the user interface, ensuring an engaging and intuitive experience for users. As a Front-End UI/UX Developer intern, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the visual and interactive elements of the platform. You will work closely with the product team to create a user-centered design that resonates with athletes, parents, and coaches. Your role will be pivotal in defining the look, feel, and overall user experience of our platform.
Responsibilities:
- Create responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).- Collaborate with product managers and designers to develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that enhance the overall user experience.- Ensure the platform is fully responsive and optimized for various devices and browsers.- Implement best practices for front-end performance and accessibility, ensuring a fast, inclusive, and user-friendly experience for all users.- Conduct user testing and gather feedback to continuously improve the user interface and experience.- Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless functionality across the platform.- Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, tools.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree with a focus on Computer Science or a related field.- 3+ years of experience in front-end development and UI/UX design, preferably within a startup or fast-paced environment.- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.- Strong knowledge of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.- Experience designing and developing responsive websites and applications.- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly iterate on designs based on feedback.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design and front-end development work.- General awareness of American college athletics is a plus.- Experience with animations and creating interactive user experiences.
