Position Overview:We’re looking for a strongly motivated Junior Python Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with our CTO to develop and maintain sophisticated web scraping scripts. You will be extracting valuable data from multiple sources, handling large datasets and contributing to the overall data strategy of our company.

Key Responsibilities:Assist in developing and maintaining web scraping scripts using Python.Work with most common python libraries for scraping and data management.Implement and manage data extraction from APIs (REST).Collaborate on designing and optimizing our PostgreSQL database for storing and querying scraped data.Handle data cleaning, processing, and transformation tasks.Debug and troubleshoot issues that arise during the scraping process.Ensure robust error handling and logging within scraping scripts.Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices within the team.Collaborate using Git for version control and team collaboration.

Required Skills:Proficiency in Python programming.Experience with web scraping libraries.Understanding of HTTP protocols, web technologies, and how the web works.Familiarity with APIs and traffic analysis.Basic knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.Experience with regular expressions (Regex) for pattern matching and data extraction.Ability to clean and process unstructured or messy data.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:Creative and problem solver mindset with technology obsession.Understanding of anti-scraping techniques and methods to navigate them.Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced work environment.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
