Junior React Developer Intern

Salary: £100-£150 (please note the salary is listed in Great British pounds)

The Junior React Developer Intern will assist in developing web applications using the React framework. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in front-end development and work on React projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development and maintenance of web applications using React.js.Collaborate with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications.Review application requirements and interface designs to ensure alignment with project goals.Identify web-based user interactions and develop highly-responsive user interface components using React concepts.Write application interface code using JavaScript, following React.js workflows.Troubleshoot interface software and debug application code.Develop and implement front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.Monitor and improve front-end performance.Document application changes and develop updates.

QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Understanding of React.js and its core principles.Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript.Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js).Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus.Familiarity with RESTful APIs.Familiarity with Node.js.Familiarity with CSS/SCSS styling.Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.A knack for benchmarking and optimization.Familiarity with any UI design framework such as Material-UI, Shadcn UI, Tailwind CSS, or Ant Design is a plus.

Experience RequiredPrevious experience as a React developer or in a similar role is preferred but not required.Experience in developing SEO-friendly websites is a plus.Prior internship or project experience in software development or a related field.Experience with GitHub and version control.
