You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test new features and functionality. Your role will involve working closely with product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and better understand user needs. You will also troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. This position offers the opportunity to stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.The majority of work is conducted remotely during normal business hours, and remote work must be conducted within the United States. Approximately 10% of bi-weekly work time must take place at the client’s facility on Fort Belvoir, VA, e.g., approximately 1 out of every 10 workdays.Job DutiesBuild and maintain web applications and user interfaces using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test new features and functionality.Create clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices and design patterns.Identify, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues as they arise.Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and understand user needs.Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.Attend, participate in, and provide value-added to daily stand-up meetings.QualificationsEducationBachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or other relevant and acceptable fields.Certification(s)DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP Certification (Desired but Not Mandatory).Experience The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment as part of a development team responsible for creating proof of concept and operational Cloud-based capabilities and frameworks for our client, is a self-starter who is reliable, punctual, and manages their time efficiently to meet deadlines and deliverables, possesses strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills; and also meets the following qualifications:Minimum of 4 years of proven and demonstrable experience consistent with what is identified in the Job Description, Job Duties, and Qualifications.Strong skills and experience with and current proficiency in:JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, Angular, Vue, or React. (Angular used heavily at present)HTML and CSS, including CSS frameworks such as Material Design, Bootstrap, or Foundation.UI development, data analysis and visualization, and software design.Agile development and tools such as JIRA, Git, Gitlab, and BitBucket, methodologies, and three-week sprints.Developing for the Cloud (AWS, Azure) and closed environments.Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices and design patterns.Working independently and as a member of a team, collaborating with others, leading tasks, and managing task team members, and easily transitioning between these roles.Some experience with and a strong understanding of and familiarity with the following:Kubernetes, Docker.Supporting and working with US military clients.Possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Desired Additional Qualifications (but not mandatory)Experience with JavaScript visualization libraries such as Leaflet and D3.Node/Express developing APIs.Experience with Keycloak.Experience with database design
