Junior Backend Developer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Back-End Developer to join our growing SaaS Development team. This role is primarily focused on contributing to the development of a new version of our existing application, with the potential for involvement in future projects. Key Responsibilities

Development: Contribute to the back-end development of our SaaS platform, focusing on building new features and optimizing existing functionalities.Collaboration: Work closely with product specialists, project managers and our US-based and India-based development teams.Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices and coding standards. Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality outputs from the entire team.Testing & Debugging: Identify and fix bugs, and perform unit and integration testing to ensure the stability and reliability of the application and attend regular coding reviews in our sprint development cycles.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:Required: Proficiency in PHP and experience with the Laravel framework. You should be comfortable working with MVC architecture, RESTful APIs, and database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).Preferred: Experience with React or similar front-end frameworks. While not essential, familiarity with front-end development will be advantageous in this role.Tools & Practices: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and agile development methodologies.

Experience:We are looking for a junior developer with ideally 1 year of professional experience in back-end development, particularly with PHP and Laravel but this can be discussed.Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is highly desirable.Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.A proactive attitude towards learning and a strong desire to grow your expertise in software development.
