Vanguard DevOps, is looking for an Oracle Application Express (APEX) Developer to develop and maintain APEX-based software applications. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team as an Oracle Apex Developer (100% remote) for long term five year project with our Federal Government project.

Excellent opportunity to join our team supporting a very large Federal Government client on a long term five year contract.Vanguard DevOps LLC, is looking for an Oracle Application Express (APEX) Developer to develop and maintain APEX-based software applications. The work includes eliciting and capturing business requirements and designing and implementing efficient and effective solutions using the APEX tool suite. Troubleshooting, maintaining, and modernizing existing applications. Communicating effectively with SEFSC client's project leadership and other staff. The ideal candidate shall have a proven track record in application development using (recent) versions of Oracle APEX. Must be proficient in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Must have proven demonstrated experience with Oracle databases, DML and DDL. This individual will be required to work closely with the client and/or any third-party staff, including subject matter and technical experts, project managers, etc. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Required Qualifications:Strong background in Oracle APEX development Version 19+Demonstrable proficiency with:Oracle 19+ databasesPL/SQL packages, functions and stored proceduresJavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, XML, HTML5, CSS,REST based Web ServicesUnderstanding of Oracle application configuration, SQL, PL/SQL package/procedure-based programming, database object modeling, performance tuning for custom extensions, data conversions, data reporting and interface developmentSupport the development and application of best-practices, program standards and conventions.Ability to analyze and refactor existing code to enhance performance, functionality and maintainability.Familiarity with all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and the ability to support all phases of the SDLC including O&M support and disposition.Enthusiasm, positive attitude, superb work ethic, attention to detail and ability to work without supervision.This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and time-management skills.Successful candidate must clear a background screen.Education/Experience:3 - 4 years of hands-on experience developing Apex applications.Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related scientific or technical degree; or equivalent experienceTechnical Skills/Experience:Experience with Oracle Application Express (Oracle APEX)Prior production support and software O&M experienceVersion control systems (SVN, Git)Experience with JiraAdditional desired/preferred skills and requirements:Agile Project Management Experience is a plusScrum certification is a plusOracle and/or APEX certificationsUsing frontend web development tools with APEXAgile development / DevSecOps
