Role Descriptioninitializ is looking to hire a Python Engineer to join our highly talented Labs team. As a Python Software Engineer at initializ, you’ll be embedded on the Labs Engineering team, where you can work on next-generation AI Solutions. You’ll get to work directly with other Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Directors, all of whom comprise the team. In this highly collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to grow as a software engineer.• The Python Software Engineer position requires excellent object-oriented programming skills and knowledge of design patterns• We are looking for a software engineer who is passionate about programming and truly enjoys what they do• The ideal candidate for the Python Engineer position is someone with a can-do attitude.

initializ works in an agile environment with daily stand-ups, code reviews, and constant communication within each self-managed cross-functional team. Effective communication with Product Managers and Quality Engineers and close collaboration with other team members is critical to success in this position.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications:2 or more years of experience as a Python developer on enterprise projects using Python, Flask, FastAPI, Django, PyTest, Celery, and other Python frameworksSoftware development experience, including object-oriented programming, modern design patterns, RESTful service implementation, and micro-service architectureFamiliar with Git as a version control systemExperience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and MSSQLFamiliarity with testing tools such as PyTest, Wiremock, xUnit, mocking frameworks, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Machine Learning algorithms and systems is nice to haveExperience in a Gen AI environment and understanding of RAG, Langchain, and VectorDBFamiliar with Docker and KubernetesExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsBachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computational Linguistics, Statistics, or equivalent experience
