Database Developer

Required Skillset:Demonstrable experience in database design and development role on medium to large, enterprise-scale databases.The engineer must be familiar or have experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns, EAI, SOA, EDA architectures and their main principles

Candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in the following:Working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases. PostgreSQL / Oracle / MySQLDesign and development (governance/setting standards, versioning, etc.)Cloud – AWS preferred (RDS, DynamoDB, EC2, IAM, S3)Write/tune moderate to highly complex queriesETL – moderate to complex data structure, high volume of data Familiarity with various SQL clientsPractice with Git and Continuous Integration infrastructureTransformation of Oracle SQL scripts into Postgres scriptsData migration from Oracle db to Postgres dbExperience with AWS DMS, SCT tools

Expectations:This individual will work closely with users, technical leads, project managers, and other cross-functional development teams to design and deliver database solutions. This includes writing SQL queries, developing backend procedures, functions and integration with applications within the core pathway. Also support quality assurance team(s)Optimize/tune queries for best performance efficiencyAssess security of SQL written for potential risksTackle simple/moderate DBA tasks independentlyThis individual must develop database (backend) solutions using disciplined database development and testing processes, adhering to team/company standards and database best practice guidelines, and corporate policies.
