Position Overview: We are looking for a talented Lightspeed Ecommerce Developer with extensive experience in both Lightspeed Ecommerce and Lightspeed Retail platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining our Lightspeed-based ecommerce solutions to optimize our online store and integrate it seamlessly with our retail operations.Key Responsibilities:Lightspeed Ecommerce Development:Develop and maintain custom themes and templates for the Lightspeed Ecommerce platform.Implement and manage ecommerce functionalities, including product listings, shopping cart, checkout processes, and payment gateways.Integrate third-party tools and plugins to extend ecommerce capabilities and enhance user experience.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Lightspeed Ecommerce platform.Lightspeed Retail Integration:Integrate Lightspeed Retail with the ecommerce platform to ensure a seamless connection between online and in-store operations.Configure and maintain synchronization of inventory, pricing, and customer data between Lightspeed Retail and Lightspeed Ecommerce.Develop custom solutions to address specific business needs and streamline retail processes.Technical Support and Maintenance:Provide technical support for Lightspeed Ecommerce and Retail platforms, addressing issues and implementing updates as needed.Perform regular system audits and performance optimizations to ensure stability and efficiency.Collaborate with the IT and customer service teams to address and resolve technical issues promptly.Collaboration and Project Management:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and product managers, to deliver ecommerce solutions that meet business objectives.Participate in project planning and execution, including defining requirements, setting timelines, and ensuring deliverables are met.Stay updated with the latest Lightspeed features, industry trends, and best practices to continually improve our ecommerce solutions.Qualifications:Experience:Proven experience with Lightspeed Ecommerce and Lightspeed Retail platforms.Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Lightspeed’s templating language).Experience with ecommerce integration, including payment gateways, shipping methods, and third-party APIs.Technical Skills:Solid understanding of web development principles and ecommerce best practices.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools.Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Preferred Qualifications:Certification or formal training in Lightspeed Ecommerce or Retail.Experience with additional ecommerce platforms or retail management systems.Knowledge of analytics tools and ability to interpret ecommerce metrics.
