Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the backend systems that power our web and mobile applications• Collaborate with frontend engineers to create and maintain APIs that integrate with the frontend• Write clean and efficient code that is scalable and maintainable• Optimize code for performance and scalability• Create and maintain databases and data storage solutions• Troubleshoot and debug issues with the backend systems• Work with other engineers and team members to ensure code quality and project deadlines are met• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in backend engineering

Requirements

2 to 3 years post National Service experience in backend engineeringProficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or Node.jsExperience working with databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQLFamiliarity with server-side frameworks such as Spring or DjangoKnowledge of RESTful APIs and experience building themFamiliarity with version control systems such as GitUnderstanding of software engineering principles and design patternsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environmentStrong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholdersFamiliarity with agile software development methodologiesKnowledge of ticketing tools like Trello and Jira.Candidates with the ability to speak German or are interested in foreign languages.Indicate the link to your portfolio on your CV.Candidates with the knowledge and use of multiple skills, tools and software are preferred.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra• Knowledge of caching mechanisms and strategies• Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines
