ColdFusion application Developer

Job Title: ColdFusion application Developer (3 Opening)Location: Remote (355 Capitol Street NE, Salem, Oregon 97301)Client- Dept. of transportation Duration: 09/23/2024 - 09/23/2025Schedule: Part-time, 4 hours per day

Key Responsibilities:Code Analysis: Review ColdFusion application software to identify and address features that will be retired, removed, deprecated, or unsupported in ColdFusion 2023.Mitigation Recommendations: Provide strategic recommendations for applications impacted by ColdFusion 2023 changes and suggest viable solutions.Code Upgrades: Update application code to utilize HTTPS and develop Azure Deploy Pipelines as needed.Troubleshooting: Resolve issues with ColdFusion applications migrated from version 2018 to 2023.Migration Support: Advise on the migration of ColdFusion applications requiring updates and provide estimates for task completion.Task Management: Manage and prioritize multiple assignments effectively, ensuring timely communication of progress.User Interaction: Understand and document user needs, ensuring clear and effective verbal and written communication.System Documentation: Design and document the logical structure for software systems and databases.

Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.Experience: Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience or equivalent.Skills and Expertise:Advanced proficiency in ColdFusion (7-9 years)Advanced knowledge of system testing processes (7-9 years)Expert in web-based technology development (10+ years)Advanced experience with Azure DevOps (7-9 years)Extensive experience in developing, testing, and deploying ColdFusion applications (7-9 years)Proficiency in SQL (1-3 years)Strong verbal and written communication skills (7-9 years)Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (7-9 years)Familiarity with Visual Studio (4-6 years, preferred but not required)
