It is the first to provide the possibility of running Ethereum smart contracts in Bitcoin, using bitcoin as its native cryptocurrency, and leveraging Bitcoin's hashing power. Rootstock is one of the most exciting projects in the crypto and blockchain space!

The Rootstock Powpeg team is responsible for evolving and maintaining the Bridge contract and the Powpeg client. It reviews and promotes community contributions, being an active and key member of the Rootstock platform evolution. People in this team have a great understanding of how the Rootstock, Bitcoin, and Ethereum protocols work, improve network's security, scalability, and performance through the implementation of new consensus rules, work side by side with industry referents in Blockchain security to protect the network, also understand how developers interact with the Rootstock technology to deploy and run smart contracts, among other things.What You’ll be DoingCollaborate with other engineers and teams to implement new features, improvements, and fixes to the Rootstock Bridge native contract.Collaborate with other engineers and teams to implement new features, improvements, and fixes to the Rootstock Powpeg client.Work with your team to make Rootstock more secure and robust, enabling it to execute a significant volume of transactions with no disruption.Improve the user experience of our technologies, making it very easy for users to run their solutions on top of Rootstock.Help with design and code reviews.
