Senior Python Developer

The Team: We seek a suitable candidate to join our delivery team responsible for API development and API Platform management. This team is a dynamic group that builds, manages, and maintains both internal and customer-facing APIs.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Develop and maintain API applications using Python technologies.Deploy applications and services to AWS cloud environments.Develop and maintain web services.Mature enough to deliver features from the design phase to deploy on ProductionWrite high-quality, maintainable, and testable code that adheres to established coding standards and best practices.Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality of code.Work with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Databricks to design and develop efficient database structures.Develop and maintain unit and automated tests to ensure the quality of the software.Troubleshoot and debug software issues promptly.Collaborate with other developers to identify and implement process improvements.

What We’re Looking For:Required Skills & Experience:

Demonstrated ability to participate in a global software engineering team while working closely with product management, quality assurance, and business analysts.At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience developing with Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, DjangoDevelopment experience with AWSAwareness about CI/CD, JenkinsExperience working with SQL technologies such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or equivalentExperience working with DockerExposure to programming languages like .Net, Java is a plusProven experience working with an Agile framework mindsetDesire to work with a highly collaborative team located onshore and offshoreStrong interpersonal and written communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field with 7+ years' experience in software engineeringKnowledge of professional software engineering practices, including complete software development life cycles, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.Hands-on experience with API development and support.Fundamental knowledge of data types, data structures, data sets, data access, and software design patternsExperience with DevOps practices and modern CI/CD deployment models using Jenkins/AnsibleExperience with testing patterns and best practices along with software security best practicesStrong knowledge of HTML and web frameworks.Knowledge of database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.Nice to have experience with modern front-end technologies such as React, Redux, and Webpack is good to have.
