ABOUT THE POSITION

The Senior Developer will be responsible for taking care of and improving the machinery that powers the Cloudi-Fi service. They will work within an agile team to develop new features, custom applications, and reporting tools.The successful candidate will have significant experience with PHP (7 and 8) and Symfony 5+, excellent problem-solving skills, and an independent work ethic. They will develop new code and maintain existing web applications, identify architecture and performance improvements, and drive a transition plan while continuing to improve the user experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work within an agile team to develop new Cloudi-Fi features, custom applications and reporting toolsDevelop new code and maintain existing web applicationsWork with PHP and Symfony using the latest tools and technologiesCollaborate in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing, and deploymentTroubleshoot issues and identify solutionsWrite clean and fully documented code

REQUIRED SKILLS

5+ years of professional experience in PHP/MySQL development.3+ years of experience with Symfony 4 or above.Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP)Experience with SQL queries, MySQL, and database design.Fluent with Git and common SCM platforms, e.g, Github, GitLab, and BitBucket.Experience with RabbitMQ and ElasticSearch.User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environmentsStrong communication skills and ability to work closely with our development, creative, and project management teamsDrive to grow the technical skill sets into new areas as our technology evolves.

BONUS SKILLSIt's not mandatory, but it's even better if you do have them.Knowledge of containerization, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.Experience in Angular and/or other modern front-end web frameworks like React or Vue.Deep proficiency in SQL.Experience with NoSQL databases like Redis, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Neo4J, etc.Knowledge of Google and Amazon cloud platforms (EC2, S3, ECS, Lambda, BigQuery)Experience in working using agile methodology
