Senior WordPress Web Developer (6-Week Contract)

Contract Length: 6 Weeks (with potential for renewal) Compensation: R70,000 Location: Remote

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior WordPress Web Developer for a short-term contract with the possibility of extension. You'll be responsible for developing, customizing, and optimizing WordPress websites to meet specific business needs from already existing Figma designs. Key Responsibilities: Develop custom Wordpress websites from Figma designs provided. Optimize website performance and implement best practices for SEO. Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs. Collaborate with the design team to ensure seamless integration of visuals and functionality. Ensure websites are mobile responsive, fast, and user-friendly. Required Skills: Extensive experience with WordPress, including custom theme development. Ability to integrate API’s for IP address geocoding to retrieve user location. Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery. Proficiency in responsive design and cross-browser compatibility. Experience with website optimization and SEO best practices. Familiarity with WordPress security practices. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Nice to Have: Familiarity with page builders like Elementor or WPBakery. Understanding of basic UX/UI principles. Contract Details: Duration: Initial 6-week contract, with the potential for renewal based on project needs and performance. Compensation: R70,000 for the contract period.
