Backend Python Developer - Machine Learning

IRIS.AI is an ML driven software that helps scientists all over the world throughout their work. We are building a fully fledged Science Assistant Machine that can read and understand scientific text and give you the full picture of the current state-of-the-art in a human understandable way.

The Backend Developer with ML position at Iris.ai is for bright and motivated people who enjoy dynamics and solving complex algorithmic and engineering challenges. You will be focused on Algorithms, Data structures and Multiprocessing while developing new features and services of our AI.

Job Responsibilities:Software development – specification, planning, implementationSelf-managementClose collaboration with research teamDriving innovationWorking in an agile process in a distributed team with limited connectivityDebugging and fixing problems in the existing codeEnsuring up to date, high-quality documentationEnsuring project delivery on timeParticipation in the full process until product deliveryDevelop your own skills and take responsibilities for your own personal development in the field.

Skills and Experience Required:Solid understanding of algorithms and data structuresSolid understanding of multiprocessing / multithreadingBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI or similarOperations with streams of data (data streaming)Knowledge of at least one of the following ML libraries (Tensorflow, Gensim, Pytorch or similar)Ability to learn new technologies quicklyAbility to work in a distributed team environmentAt least 3 years of experience in software development with PythonProficient analytical / problem-solving skillsFluent English

Great if you also have:Experience with AWS, setting up data pipelines, operation with big amounts of dataKnowledge and interest in Math and StatisticsWeb developmentParticipation in research projects
