Sr Full Stack Developer (PHP/MySQL)

OnX is looking for Sr Full Stack Developers with Subject Matter level expertise in PHP/MySQL.

Location: Waterloo, ON or remote (must work EST hours)Duration: 6mo (strong chance of extension)

Main projects: upgrade/replacement/boxing-in of EOL servers, db upgrades.* Please note., Front end web was built not using frameworks but in raw PHP code/ custom built and connects to MySQL. Connects to various custom built apps.

Must-Haves:Extensive, minimum 5-7yrs, PHP experience (expert level) Experience with both MSSQL and MySQL (in a PHP environment)Proficient in SQL query optimizationUnderstanding of CSSFamiliarity with common java-script frameworks.Experience with multiple OS platforms, including Linux and WindowsStrong analytical and software debugging skillsComputer Science or Engineering degree

Assets:Understanding of NginxExperience with low level technology debugging such as header analysis Experience with refactoring existing infrastructureFamiliarity with the formal software life cycle (requirements through delivery). Backwards engineering in thought process

Main Duties:Support projects to upgrade existing infrastructure to more modern frameworks Develop and implement new infrastructure related to build and software delivery based on product delivery requirements, support launchesIntroduce CI/CD platforms where required
