Senior Software Developer, Tech Lead, Immersive XR OS

Your MissionIn this role, you will leverage your expertise in designing, building, and optimizing operating systems software for innovative immersive XR devices. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for systems software design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance and enhancements.

What You’ll Do at Neurozai• Architect and Design: Architect, design, and develop operating system software components for immersive XR devices.• Develop Software: Write reliable, efficient, and testable software for environments ranging from bare-metal to cloud.• Communicate Effectively: Communicate design and implementation decisions through architecture/design documents and code.• Abstract Hardware Interfaces: Abstract hardware interfaces to Android userspace, and define and deliver the necessary system software layers (HAL, Android framework).

Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.• 1 year of experience with Linux Kernel or AOSP-based systems.

Preferred Qualifications:• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.• 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems, and designing/implementing OS and application runtime components.• Experience developing accessible technologies.• Experience with core Android components, including SurfaceFlinger and InputFlinger.• Experience with OpenXR and OpenXR Extensions.
