Junior Blockchain Developer (Internship)

Who we are

We are AstraKode, an innovative startup born in June 2021 and based in Italy. Building on an established expertise in the domain of enterprise solution modeling, the company was founded with the aim to facilitate innovative enterprise solutions development and it is focusing on the blockchain. Our mission is to make complex enterprise technologies more accessible for any company through abstraction and low-code.

Our company’s entry product is AstraKode Blockchain (AKB), a web-based platform for assisted (enterprise) blockchain development. Once full-fledged, the platform will provide visual, guided development environments for blockchain networks and smart-contracts. This will enable solutions to be designed and deployed at a significantly reduced cost and effort, as well as make development more accessible altogether, as all environments will provide a high enough level of abstraction for non-domain experts to get involved in the development process.

Role Mission

As a trainee in our Development team, you will embark on a journey to become proficient in blockchain technology, with responsibilities including:

Learning and understanding technical requirements through mentor guidance.Collaborating with Product Owners and senior developers to grasp the translation of requirements into practical outputs.Assisting in the design and coding of blockchain networks and related logic under expert supervision.Gaining experience in the development of smart contracts and web3 applications through hands-on projects and training modules.

Profile

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Science or Technology (such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering).Knowledge of programming, with an eagerness to develop skills in Javascript, Node.js, and Docker.An understanding of Linux and Bash scripting.A strong curiosity, enthusiasm and basic knowledge for blockchain technology.Interest in learning about public blockchain development, with a focus on gaining skills in languages such as Solidity.Willingness to learn about permissioned blockchains (Hyperledger Fabric) and their applications.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to tackle complex challenges.Openness to working in diverse, international settings.Strong communication skills and a readiness to actively participate in team discussions.Motivation to develop leadership qualities over time.Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Contract and commitment

We offer a 6-month internship aimed at hiring with a monthly expense reimbursement of €600. Additionally, a company house is provided in the city of Pescara, along with travel and transfer reimbursement benefits.

Location The position is based in Pescara (Italy), but includes the possibility for working remotely from your favorite place.
