ETL Developer

Responsibilities: · Assist in the decision-making process related to the selection of data architecture solutions· Provide consultation on complex ETLs· Research improvements in ETL development standards· Ability to understand complex challenges and lead teams of data engineers· Consolidate and optimize available data warehouse infrastructure· Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders in ensuring data warehouse architecture development and utilization· Carry out monitoring, tuning, and database performance analysis· Perform the design and extension of data marts, metadata, and data models· Ensure all data warehouse source codes are maintained in a version control system· Perform data analysis for data sets that will be ingested· Plan testing strategies on the logic applied to transform the data within the solution· Extract, transform, stage and load data to multiple targets including Databases, Data Lakes, and Data Warehouses using any of the ff: Talend, AWS Lambda, Kinesis, EMR, Data Pipeline, etc

Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in an analytical related field, including Information Technology, Science, and Engineering discipline· 4-6 plus years of experience performing data warehouse architecture development and management· Exceptional experience developing codes, testing for quality assurance, administering RDBMS, and monitoring of database· High proficiency in dimensional modeling techniques and their applications· Strong analytical, consultative, and communication skills; as well as the ability to make good judgment and work with both technical and business personnel· Background in ETL, reporting and analytical tools such as Talend, Power BI, Tableau, TIBCO, and others· Working knowledge of Python, and R used in data processing and modeling tasks is an advantage· Expert-level skills in writing and optimizing SQL· Knowledge/Experience in cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure· Knowledge/Experience in Hadoop, Impala, Pig, Hive, YARN, and other “big data” technologies an advantage
