We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow Senior Developer to design and implement a comprehensive monitoring dashboard within the ServiceNow platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering data from various monitoring tools via logs and APIs, integrating this data into ServiceNow, and creating dashboards that provide clear and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain monitoring dashboards within the ServiceNow platform that aggregate data from various sources, providing real-time visibility into system performance, availability, and other key metrics.Gather data from multiple monitoring tools through APIs and logs, ensuring seamless integration with the ServiceNow platform.Analyze the gathered data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, providing insights to IT operations and other stakeholders.Develop and manage API connections between ServiceNow and external monitoring tools to ensure accurate and timely data flow.Work closely with IT operations, network teams, and other stakeholders to understand monitoring needs, define dashboard requirements, and deliver solutions that meet those needs.Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the dashboards to ensure they meet user needs and performance standards.Create and maintain detailed documentation of dashboard configurations, data sources, and API integrations.Provide training and ongoing support to end-users, ensuring they understand how to use the dashboards effectively.Stay up-to-date with ServiceNow capabilities and industry best practices, recommending and implementing enhancements to the dashboards and related processes.
Qualifications:
Understanding the core architecture of ServiceNow, including its data model, tables, and relationships.Familiarity with various ServiceNow modules like Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Asset Management.Proficiency in scripting within the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript. Key areas include:Knowledge of ServiceNow’s REST and SOAP APIs for integration with other systems.Experience with the integrated development environment (IDE) for developing custom applications in ServiceNow.JavaScript, HTML/CSS, AngularJSExperience with integrating ServiceNow with external systems through REST and SOAP APIs.Skills in importing data into ServiceNow from various sources using data sources and transform maps.Deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including its dashboarding and reporting capabilities.Proficiency in API integration and data extraction from monitoring tools.Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript) for ServiceNow customization.Experience with log management and data analytics.Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.Experience working with monitoring tools and technologies such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, or similar.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a focus on configuration and data integration.
Preferred Qualifications:
ServiceNow certification(s) such as Certified Implementation Specialist or Certified Application Developer.Experience with ITIL processes and IT Service Management (ITSM).Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and monitoring in a cloud environment.
