Role Overview:Phorkast is looking for a talented Developer to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the software tools that provide our clients with the data and insights they need to optimize their workspaces. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to the development of high-quality software solutions that align with Phorkast’s mission to transform the future of workplace planning.

Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain software applications that support Phorkast’s core offerings, including workplace planning tools and data integration systems.Collaborate with data analysts, product managers, and design teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and innovative software solutions.Build and maintain APIs to connect Phorkast’s platform with external data sources, providing seamless integration of real estate and workplace insights.Implement and manage backend architecture, ensuring scalable and efficient processing of workplace data.Develop front-end interfaces that provide intuitive and actionable insights to users, enhancing their understanding of workspace trends and needs.Ensure high-quality code development through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a timely and efficient manner.Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in software development and workplace management to continuously improve the Phorkast platform.Participate in agile development cycles, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as a developer, with proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js) and backend development (e.g., Node.js, Django, or Flask).Strong understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Experience working with APIs, data integration, and data visualization tools.Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.Passion for workplace design, spatial planning, and improving the employee experience through technology.
