Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote role for a Back End Developer at FarziEngineer. The Back End Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic of the ecommerce platform. Day-to-day tasks include developing scalable APIs, optimizing application performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate front-end elements.

ResponsibilitesBe proficient in server-side development and optimization of data, including database creation and management, and debuggingIntegrate data from various back-end services and databasesCreate and maintain software documentationCreate user-friendly and intuitive interfacesCreate and analyze reliable and secure back-end functionalityMaintain, expand, and scale our websiteRemain knowledgeable of emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them to operations and activitiesCollaborate with front-end developers and web designers to match visual design intent

RequirementsMinimum Bachelor of Science in computer science, software engineering, programming, or equivalentMinimum Experience required is 1.5 years to 2 yearsProficiency with languages such as Java, Ruby, PHP, MySQL, SQL, and PythonKnowledge of frontend technologies Understanding of object-oriented programmingExperience with the design and implementation of APIsUnderstanding of code versioning tools such as SVN, Git, and MercurialUnderstanding of code management tools such as Subversion, Git, and Helix CoreUnderstanding of code deployment tools such as Jenkins, Capistrano, and ElectricFlowTrack record of successfully managing multiple company or customer websitesExcellent time-management and communication skills
