Senior PHP Developer

We are an application-development shop that builds web applications to make our customers’ data available wherever they do business. We build solutions that run on the cloud, and we specialize on the cloud platform from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to give our customers access to the latest innovations in cloud-based architecture.

RoleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior PHP Developer to lead and influence our development initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining performant and secure PHP applications. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation, ensuring code quality, and mentoring junior team members.

You will join a team of experienced developers, designers, and project managers building and supporting PHP applications that operate our customers’ businesses. Your role includes:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient PHP solutions.Architect, design, and implement high-quality, maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices.Lead and mentor junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices to continuously enhance development processes.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of PHP applications.Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and maintain code quality.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine project specifications, providing technical insights and recommendations.Leverage the AWS SDK to integrate platform services from AWS to enhance and extend PHP applications.

ExperienceProven experience as a PHP Developer with a minimum of 3 years in a senior or lead role.Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and related technologies within the LAMP stack.In-depth knowledge of modern PHP frameworks (e.g., CakePHP, Laravel) and design patterns.Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Solid understanding of web services, RESTful APIs, and integration techniques.Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a development team.Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

It is also desirable to have experience with:Red Hat Enterprise Linux (or other distribution) server administration.

We particularly welcome applicants with additional qualifications such as:AWS Certified Developer or other current AWS Certification.

CompensationCompensation will be commensurate with experience.
