Database Developer

The company comprises 2 divisions specialized in its core capabilities: ENGINEERING and IT. These two divisions are: ALTEN TECHNO and ALTEN KEPLER.

Responsibilities:Database Requirements and Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define database requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.PL/SQL Development: Develop and implement PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and materialized views to support business processes and application functionalities.Database Performance Optimization: Optimize database performance through instance and query tuning, indexing, histograms, partitioning, and execution plan analysis.Database Modelling: Perform database modeling using Power Designer.Search Performance Improvement: Enhance search performance using Oracle Text Indexing.Query Assistance: Assist application developers in writing efficient, scalable queries that use fewer resources in a multiuser environment.Production Database Support: Provide support for production databases to solve critical bugs and issues.Database Upgrades: Upgrade databases from Oracle 11g to 12c and later to 19c, including installing software, migrating data using expdp and impdp tools, migrating code, and resolving performance regressions.Environment Maintenance: Install, patch, clone, backup, and recover the local development environment.Linux Scripting: Develop and maintain Linux scripts to automate and streamline database operations.

Profile: At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.Oracle Database Expertise: Proficiency with Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, and 19c.Oracle Enterprise Cloud Control: Experience with Oracle Enterprise Cloud Control 12c/13c.PostgreSQL Knowledge: Familiarity with PostgreSQL versions 9 to 14 on Linux servers.Database Modelling Tools: Proficiency in Power Designer for database modeling.Linux Skills: Competence in writing and maintaining Linux scripts.Version Control and Collaboration Tools: Experience with Git for version control, Jira for project management, and Confluence for documentation.Knowledge of English at least intermediate level;
