AWS EKS Developer (w/ Python)Required Experience / Skills:· Demonstrated expertise in Containerization & Orchestration with Kubernetes & AWS EKS.· Strong understanding of Linux ecosystems.· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.· Proven experience in a DevOps role, demonstrating leadership and innovation.· Proficiency in automating using an object-oriented language (e.g. Python, Java, Go, PowerShell, or equivalent)· Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Travis CI, Circle CI).· In-depth knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).· Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).· Hands-on experience with AWS.· Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration.· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:· Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, or Kubernetes Administrator.· Experience with Microservices architecture.· Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., DataDog, Splunk, Cloudwatch).· Knowledge of Agile methodologies.· Hands on experience with additional cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP).What You’ll Do:· Provide expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., AWS EKS, Kubernetes).· Design, write and deliver software to improve the operational health of our container and compute services.· Design, deploy, and manage automated testing and deployment processes.· Assist in process automation across all compute services including CI/CD, testing inclusive· Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible, etc.· Monitor and enhance system reliability, performance, and security.· Assist in an on-call rotation for compute services team (low volume)Personal Work Habits Required:Having a growth mindset and a desire to innovate - being unhappy with status quo and coming up with ways to make it better.Must be data driven, but comfortable with ambiguity - we often don’t know the answers, and that’s ok, but we figure it out.Must be a positive go-getter!
