Senior PHP / Custom WordPress Developer

We are seeking a skilled PHP / Custom Theme WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing websites using PHP in WordPress. This role involves developing custom APIs, themes and plugins to meet business needs and enhance user experience.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop, customize, and maintain APIs.Develop custom themes and plugins tailored to specific project requirements.Write robust documentation for custom workEnsure high-performance and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.Create responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing website designs.Work closely with stakeholders to ensure an effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementation.Stay updated with new trends and best practices in PHP / WordPress development.Conduct website performance tests and optimize load times and scalability.

Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.5+ years of experience with PHP and MySQL, with a focus on API development3+ years of experience in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development.Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).Strong understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.Ability to manage projects, multitask, and meet deadlines.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-have QualificationsExperience with AWS Lightsail, Bitnami, and Linux machinesExperience with PlanetPressGoogle StreetView API

Probation PeriodThe selected candidate will be subject to a 1-month probationary period. During this time, performance and fit within the company culture will be evaluated. Successful completion of the probation period will lead to a permanent position within the team.
