Back End Developer

Back-End Developer (Full-Time, Remote) Location: Quick Towers Building, Kozyatağı, Ataşehir / Istanbul The position As a Backend Engineer working on products developed for New York-based SmartGift / 1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: FLWS) https://www.smartgift.com, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and functionality of software systems. Your responsibilities will include:

Build the backend and APIs of robust, high-performing, slick web applications Help introduce additional steps to improve the team and work-stream efficiency Join a growing engineering team and work closely with other team members from UX/UI design, front-end, backend, and quality assurance Qualifications To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: Ideally “life-long” experience with coding back-end applications, otherwise 3+ years of professional, relevant work experience Computer science degrees preferred Strong understanding of common data structures and algorithms Experience in backend engineering and building RESTful APIs, particularly using Nodejs Experience with Google Cloud Platform with GKE, GCS or Amazon Web Services such as S3, SQS, Beanstalk, RDS, SNS Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes Experience with Apache Kafka Experience with using version controls, particularly Git Experience with relational databases Strong, “natural” analytical problem-solving and quantitative skills Excellent spoken English Passionate about learning and self-development

Additional preferred skills While not required, the following skills and experiences are a plus: Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus Knowledge of NoSQL is a plus Knowledge of ElasticSearch is a plus Knowledge of microservices using AWS Lambda is a plus
