The Role

We are looking for a 'ServiceNow Developer' to remotely support our work for a Federal Client. As a ServiceNow developer, you will manage development responsibilities supporting ServiceNow software solutions. You will be responsible for requirements, design, development, and configuration life cycle management of the ServiceNow platform. You will provide consultation on best practices for support, including ticketing, disaster recovery, license management, digital certificates and keys and support maintenance of the User Accounts, CMDB, Service Catalog, alerts, integrations, and related modules across all ServiceNow environments. You will be working on an exciting long-term project to solve major challenges in the healthcare industry such as improving healthcare interoperability, quality of care and cost efficiencies. This is a fully remote position that requires the candidate must reside in the US.

Responsibilities:

Develop, Maintain and expand a set of custom-developed ServiceNow applications utilizing the Now Platform and maintain the existing Remedy applicationDevelop front and back-end components connected to a blended technology stack and also focus on interconnecting these ServiceNow functions into legacy systemsAn understanding of government security standards and policies are needed to ensure all deployed changes are highly secure and available.Rapidly deliver both lightweight back-end services and front-end public-facing web stack.Diagnose and troubleshoot production application issues.Promote and drive innovation in technologies, processes, and tools.Work with Product Owners and Scrum Teams in requirements decomposition, backlog refinement, and breakdown of user stories and tasks.Use unit and integration testing to ensure systems is defect free.Interface with internal and Government management personnel.Responsible for supporting the design, development, and continuous improvement of enterprise Service Management solutions in ServiceNow.Collaborate with the existing external ServiceNow team following industry standards with day to day activities and development projects.Work with the ServiceNow development team to propose solutions based business needs and strategiesDevelop and present comprehensive briefings for senior leadership, Project Management Offices (PMOs), application teams, and platform teams to support the enterprises' IT initiatives.

Qualifications:

US Citizenship is REQUIRED7+ years of systems/application development experience working in an enterprise environment.5+ years' experience in ServiceNow and the Now Platform - ITSM, App Engine and/or Integration HubExperience with Remedy Development or AdministrationExperience with migration of Remedy to ServiceNow applicationServiceNow Experience should include scripting in ServiceNow, tool configuration, design work, technical configuration and deployment.Ability to work with stakeholders to define requirementsMust be able to design, discuss, and document system strategies for platforms, applications, and networksExperience writing both unit and end-to-end automated tests.Proficient with JIRA and GitHubServiceNow Certification (Certified Application Developer) is preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask and manage several projects at once.Familiarity with Agile Development Methodology.Adept at problem-solving and critical thinking.Demonstrated ability to be goal oriented, accountable to self and team, and have a passion to learn new business, software and process conceptsExperience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts)Strong communication and collaboration skills with a track record of taking solution ownership.Communication skills key! Demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate with leadership and key stakeholders.Ability to articulate design and configuration choices and bring about consensus.

Education:

BS degree in Information Technology or another related technical discipline.

This is a full-time position with Octave Technologies. C2C or 1099 is not an option.
