What We Need
The Senior Manager of FP&A, reporting to Maisonette’s CFO, is responsible for a wide range of strategic finance activities to support leadership with key decision making. You will work cross-functionally to develop a strong understanding of the key levers that drive the business and help set and measure performance on those key metrics
What You'll Do
Strategic Planning & Budgeting:
Building and managing 5 Year financial forecast including P&L, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows; help operationalize this forecast by working cross functionally to set KPIs
Analyze monthly results and bridge actual financial results to forecast, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance, including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, operating metrics, and capital expenditures
Lead the annual financial budgeting and support the multi-year strategic planning processes. Be a thought partner to all business leaders and proactively think through ways to optimize the business to perform more efficiently
Develop cashflow projections and oversee weekly cashflow reporting process
Financial Operations
Partnering with accounting team to ensure timely completion of month-end close, insights into accruals, flux review processes, and deliver high quality financial reporting
Design and optimize flexible FP&A processes and systems to meet the needs of a dynamic and fast-growing business environment.
Ad Hoc Analysis:
* Perform other ad-hoc analyses to inform key decisions (such as private label pricing model, promotion strategy impact on gross margin, or potential capital expenditures)
Help business leaders make strategic decisions powered by data and strong understanding of financial trade-offs.
About You
6+ years experience in FP&A, investment banking, e-commerce, planning or analysis role; startup experience a plus
Strong financial modeling skills and a very high level of comfort with Microsoft Excel
An analytical, creative thinker who can focus on the details without losing sight of the big picture
Experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker or Tableau, familiarity with NetSuite a plus
Understanding of GAAP financial principles
Ability to prioritize shifting priorities
Strong independent contributor with the ability to work cross functionally with colleagues who have less strong financial acumen
