Job Description:
GDIT is seeking a Full Stack Platform Developer with a strong background in quality-assurance and testing to join our Cloud Platform team supporting the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).
In this role you will work alongside talented full stack and infrastructure developers and engineers as part of an Agile platform team streamlining software delivery and application hosting using Amazon Web Services (AWS). Your primary focus will be on the improvement of automated testing for all layers of our platform stack while assisting with the continual improvement and development of our internal developer platform. You will be expected to take charge, implement robust testing components, and share knowledge and direction for our internal development practices.

HOW A FULL STACK PLATFORM DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Develop and articulate a clear direction for the improvement of our software, integration, and API testing capabilitiesImplement an assortment of robust quality assurance and testing processes and practices across our platform application layerWork closely with other platform developers and engineers to understand challenges in order to implement incremental solutions to our development process and incorporate proven testing strategiesCollect, report on, and provide observability over quality assurance and testing metricsAssist in the collaborative design of platform application layer features and end user featuresDevelop front and back-end solutions using microservices in NodeJS hosted in AWS Elastic Container Services (ECS)Consume a variety of SQL and No-SQL database management systems including document, key-value, and time series dataProduce and consume data in lightweight data-interchange formats such as JSON and XMLMaintain code integrity and organizationAssist in the regular remediation of security and dependency update alertsWork with product owners and other development team members to determine new features and user stories needed in new/revised applications or large/complex development projectsTake tasks from requirements to deploymentRespond to trouble/support issues anywhere in the stackCreate and update documentationParticipate in all team planning, product demonstration and team retrospectives
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

The likely salary range for this position is $122,366 - $159,850. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
