What you will do

Implement, design, and drive new features delivery end-to-end through implementation, launch, and continuous iteration.Document development processes, standards, and best practices.Write and maintain a full unit test suite.Ensure the technical feasibility and stability of solutions in accordance with architectural standards.Help manage deployments and setup CI/CD pipelines.Collaborate in an agile environment to understand business requirements and translate those needs to actionable development code using best practices.Engage with business stakeholders to define application requirements, ensuring solutions meet business needs.Write performant, scalable and testable code with the help of modern tools.Participate in code reviews that uphold the principle of clean code and architecture.Participate in active engineering design sessions with evidence and experience-based contributions.Balance speed and quality, with a focus on tangible results.Participate in interview process to raise the technical bar and to bring new talent.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of developing complex, high-quality software systems delivered to customers.Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English at a minimum C1 level.Expert-level knowledge of Ruby on Rails framework.Strong background in developing cloud-based solutions, with a focus on security.Comfort operating in a sometimes ambiguous, fast-changing environment with rapid iteration cycles.Demonstrated experience managing project timelines and feature requests in a realistic manner.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.Ability to document and articulate software solutions and strategies effectively.Previous experience in Fintech or Payment Solutions, specially with STRIPE.

Tech Expertise

Primary programming language: Ruby on Rails.Proficiency in API development and optimization with Ruby on Rails.Frontend development skills with one or more frameworks such as React, VueJS , or Angular.Deep understanding of AWS services including Lambdas, EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, and SNS.Experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration and management using tools like CircleCI or GitHub Actions.Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, preferably using Terraform.Advanced database design and management skills with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or AWS RDS.Strong expertise in RSpec for behavior-driven development and Capybara for integration testing to ensure high-quality code.Proficient in background job processing utilizing Redis for efficient management of asynchronous tasks.
